Best Time to Visit

October to April offers the most comfortable weather for sightseeing. Summer (June–August) is ideal for Red Sea beach resorts. Ramadan dates vary — plan accordingly for a unique cultural experience.

Visa & Entry

Most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival or an e-visa before travel. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. Gedotravel's Fast Track service handles all arrival formalities for you.

Currency & Payments

The Egyptian Pound (EGP) is the local currency. Major credit cards are accepted in hotels and large shops. ATMs are widely available. We recommend carrying some cash for markets and smaller vendors.

Culture & Etiquette

Egypt is a warm and hospitable country. Dress modestly when visiting mosques and churches. Tipping (baksheesh) is customary. Learn a few Arabic phrases — locals appreciate the effort!

Connectivity

Stay connected with a local SIM card or our eSIM service. Wi-Fi is available in most hotels. Consider our eSIM package for seamless connectivity throughout your trip.

Health & Safety

Egypt is generally safe for tourists. Drink bottled water, use sunscreen, and stay hydrated. Travel insurance is recommended. Gedotravel provides 24/7 support for all travelers.
